#+TITLE: Reading

Why do I read?

It's healthy to read things that you disagree with and to ask why. Darwin was known to write a summary of everything he read that he disagreed with. He sought those things out. In that way he sharpened his thinking.

We should try to understand and appreciate work on it's own merits before we try to make too many connections with our own interests of study.
