#+TITLE: IfIWereRichEnough

If I had enough money I think life wouldn't be that much different.

  • I'd want to be working on interesting projects and would probably spend time thinking about what that might look like. I'd want to be able to call the shots or at have an equal shout when in conversation with a partner. I have this to some extent with Martin but there is still the reality that this is his company that I will some day own a wee bit of.
  • I think we'd live in a bigger house In particular, I'd like a workshop with all the 3D printing, electronics toys, a good home office and maybe even a home gym.
  • We'd buy land for Katy I'd want to make sure that Katy had land, her business had support and I'd hire a business coach to work with her for a year.
  • We'd buy Joshua's Tree for the Arnold's We'd get those guys settled and comfortable - allow them to know they are loved and their calling has worth and value
  • I'd make sure the boys had a Uni fund I'm not sure how I feel about them going to Uni but I'd want them to have the option. Maybe even a starting adulthood fund - travel, do some learning, start a company, have the freedom to do an internship and try things out.
  • We'd have a garden (and a gardener)
  • We'd be generous and think about how we could use our wealth to bless Probably set up a trust and think about the causes we were most passionate about - look for ways to leverage the influence that money gives for good - specifically the good that we value.
  • I'd do a lot of learning I'd do courses, read books, do weeks of diving deep into topics and producing something with that knowledge. I'd learn new skills, have a personal trainer, aim to be the best version of myself.
